The start of reaching 50 new villages
Many of you already know about Ha Jobo and how much it means to us. We started reaching out to Ha Jobo 8 years ago and we have always kept going back.
What we don’t talk about all too often however is how God used Ha Jobo to breathe life into our ministry, we went to Ha Jobo to give. But Ha Jobo gave us more than we ever expected.
Ha Jobo inspired us, every time we went up to Ha Jobo we came back refreshed and more eager to work for the Kingdom. Through Ha Jobo, God also sent us Bokang. Having young, eager people on the A4J Lesotho base is always a blessing and Bokang just brought some fresh air into the base.
It’s absolutely amazing how much God did through a single village, so then we wonder what He is going to do through 50 villages.
We have known for a while now that the goal is to use Ha Jobo as a basecamp to reach further into the mountains.
What we didn’t expect when we scouted those remote mountains on Google Earth is to find 50 villages!
There are 50 villages that are even more remote and more secluded than Ha Jobo. And we believe it’s the right season to start reaching out to them.
So we are launching our latest project “50 Villages”.
The goal of 50 Villages is to reach 50 unreached villages.
We have broken what it means to “reach a village” down into 4 steps.
These steps take time and many recurring visits.
You can read more about it here.
50 Villages is a long-term project, one where we hope to involve other churches that want to come through for an outreach.
But it all starts with the first outreach, and this is it!
From November 22nd-25th we will be hiking from the A4J Lesotho base in Malealea to Semonkong. On the way there we hope to reach 5-8 new villages. For some of these villages we will only be making contact (step 1), for others we will be spending the night and showing the Jesus film (step 2).
The journey of reaching 50 villages all starts with the first hike, and we are beyond excited to start!
Help Support This Venture
Unfortunately, how often we are able to go on outreaches into the mountains is directly tied to our funding. Every time we need to buy food. Sometimes we need to rent a horse, and other times it requires fuel.
If you feel the need to support this new mission to reach 50 villages there are a couple of different ways to support it.
1: Prayer
We have no idea what to expect when we are reaching out to these villages. We have only seen the villages on Google Earth. The deeper into the mountains we go the more likely it is that we will run into witchdoctors and other evil forces. We ask for your prayer that God will send the Holy Spirit ahead and open the doors so that we will be able to reach the people of these 50 villages.
2: Donations
A4J Lesotho is funded by donations, all money donated that specifies it’s for 50 villages will be set apart for 50 villages so that we can go on more outreaches.
3: Support us through merch
We have made some T-shirts and hoodies for those that want to support 50 villages by representing this project.
We are grateful for all your support, without your prayers and donations none of A4J Lesotho would be possible.
We have set up a webpage for 50 villages, on the page, it explains how you can follow along with our progress of reaching 50 villages.
God bless you all.
