Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, This quarter kicked off with the annual visit from First City Baptist Church from East London. They did a three day Holiday Club for the children from the surrounding villages and a one day village outreach. Approximately 180 children attended and it was a huge success. Please pray that seed that has been planted will grow. We were thankful for the visit and the help on the base with things such as the solar pump that was broken. We hosted two World Race teams during August to the 5th of September. Team Shalom and Team Kintsu (4th generation J Squad). They visited the same two villages respectively for the entire month during the mornings – Hatśoeunyane and Ha Koepe. They befriended the villagers, assisted with household tasks, ministered and in the afternoons they laboured at the base – collecting rocks, sand, building paths, painting murals. They were truly a blessing to us during this time. Our friends from Bethlehem East Dutch Reformed Church visited the weekend of the 3rd of September. The ladies taught some of our church ladies crochet. They blessed us with a water tank and installed the gutters. We always enjoy your visits and fellowship. We want to thank Barend and Lee-Ann for printing the pre-school t-shirts for us. Thank you Christine for the time you spend at the school as well. Lastly the new rooms and kitchen is finished – only one more room to be added, then we should have enough room to house groups of 16. With love from our family…
